We all take special care of the things we like. People in the manufacturing industry also maintain the machine equipment that they have made with great contribution. So how should we maintain the hydraulic blade pieces of excavators, which are frequently used in the demolition industry and the resource renewal industry? This is a problem for many hydraulic blade users. Today, with some simple tips, we can take good care of our hydraulic blade pieces and make them serve us better.
Check whether there are any screw-like foreign objects between the upper and lower blades of the hydraulic shears. If there are, remove them immediately; otherwise, it may cause the blade edge to crack. All these require the operator to pay close attention and observe carefully.
When cutting metal material sheets that have not been cut before, start with the thinner sheets. Put the thinner sheets of the same material into the cutting machine for a trial cut first. Then add the thicker ones, and so on. During the cutting process, after a period of time, observe the sharpness of the blade edge of the cutting machine and whether there are burrs on the cutting surface of the steel plate. When using in summer, be careful not to use it for a long time under high temperatures. In summer, the high temperature is likely to make the hydraulic oil in the excavator thinner, affecting the pressure of the oil cylinder’s reciprocating movement.
The tips are also derived from our practical usage. Therefore, they cannot be separated from our operational procedures. The hydraulic blades of excavators are often used to cut plates, and they need to cut plates of different specifications. The plates with the appropriate blade gap are cut in the corresponding slots. This can significantly reduce the wear on the blades. Then, it is necessary to apply lubricating oil to the blades regularly and clean them regularly for maintenance. When the machine is clean and free of debris, there will be less friction, and the working efficiency will also increase. And another very important point is that the blades must be installed properly. The correct installation and usage methods are the key. If these points are noted, the service life of the hydraulic blades will naturally be extended.
One should learn to give the hydraulic blade a break. A proper balance between work and rest is necessary. The blade will not be damaged by excessive use if it gets a rest. And the blade also needs someone who understands it!
